Trex® Composite Deck Builders

Trex® composite decks are made of a combination of recycled plastic and wood fibers. They are very low maintenance, are free of splinters, rot, warping, cracking and insect damage. You will still have to do some maintenance. Mold and mildew can develop if you have damp shady exposure but it will not damage your deck. Manufacturers recommend to removed it with soap and a soft brush then thoroughly rinse with clean water.

An interesting fact… if you include the cost of maintenance over the life of the deck it may cost less for composite vs. pressure treated wood.
